How to Update Your Authorized Signer or Plan Contact

If the trustee or authorized signer on your plan has changed, or if your contact information needs to be updated, here’s how to request that change.

Why This Matters

Your registration invitation is sent to the authorized signer on file. If that person has left your organization, changed their email address, or is otherwise not the right person to complete registration, the plan cannot be registered until the contact is updated.

Contact Vestwell support as soon as possible with the following information:

  • Your plan name and Plan ID
  • The name, title, and email address of the new authorized signer/trustee
  • Whether you need to update the main contact, the authorized signer, or both

Our team will update the record and send a new registration email to the updated contact.

Note: If only the main contact needs to change, the authorized signer (trustee) must still be the one to complete registration; they’re the only one who can accept the plan agreements.

If the Trustee Has Left the Organization

If the trustee on file is no longer with your company, gather:

  • The former trustee’s name (as on file)
  • The new trustee’s full legal name, title, and email address
  • Your plan name and Plan ID
