During registration, you’ll be asked to review and confirm the company details we have on file. Here’s what to expect and what to do if something looks wrong.
What Information Will I See?
During the digital activation flow, Vestwell will display the following details for your review:
- Legal business name
- Employer Identification Number (EIN)
- Business address
- Plan name
- Plan type (e.g., Traditional 401(k), Starter 401(k), SoloK)
This information was transferred to Vestwell from Accrue 401k as part of the migration. Review it carefully before proceeding.
If Everything Looks Correct
Confirm the information and click Continue to proceed to the next step (agreements).
If You See a Minor Discrepancy
Small differences such as abbreviations (e.g., “LLC” vs. “L.L.C.”), punctuation, or spacing are usually not a problem and won’t affect your plan. You can confirm and proceed, then flag the discrepancy to Vestwell support after registration so we can correct it in our records.
If You See a Material Error
If the EIN, plan type, or legal business name is incorrect, do not confirm and proceed. A material error in this information could affect compliance filings and plan documentation. Contact Vestwell support before completing registration so we can correct the record.
Note: Do not skip past a material error (wrong EIN, wrong company name, wrong plan type) by clicking confirm. Flag it to us first.
If Your Business Has Multiple EINs or a Control Group
If your organization has multiple entities or a controlled group structure, you’ll need to complete a separate registration for each plan.
