What Is Vestwell?
Vestwell is a modern retirement savings platform that helps businesses like yours manage 401(k) plans simply and efficiently. Vestwell supports over 500,000 businesses across all 50 states and manages more than $50 billion in assets.
Why Is My Plan Moving to Vestwell?
Your plan was previously managed on the Accrue 401k platform. Accrue 401k has selected Vestwell as the long-term home for retirement plans like yours, so your plan, along with thousands of others, is transitioning to Vestwell. This change brings you access to a more modern employer portal, improved reporting, and enhanced participant tools.
This is a platform migration, not a change to your plan’s design, fees, investments, or benefits. Your plan documents, contribution rates, and employee elections will all carry over automatically.
What Do I Need to Do?
Action is required on your part: you need to complete the registration process. The trustee of the plan will receive an email invitation to register the plan on the Vestwell platform. Registration involves:
- Creating a username and password for your new Vestwell employer portal.
- Confirming your company information.
- Reviewing service agreements.
- Connecting or confirming your payroll integration.
- Adding additional admins to the account
Registration takes approximately 5 minutes and should be completed before your blackout window closes. The sooner you register, the sooner you can manage your plan without interruption.
Is This Email Legitimate?
Yes. Emails about your Vestwell registration will come from official Vestwell domains, including vestwell.com. If you’re ever uncertain whether an email is from Vestwell, you can contact us directly to verify.
What Stays the Same?
- Your plan design, contribution rates, and benefit structure remain unchanged.
- Your employees’ investment elections transfer over automatically – funds move in-kind, not as cash.
- Your current core plan fees will not change as part of this transition.
- Your employees will receive their own registration invitation after your plan’s blackout period ends.
What Changes?
- You’ll log in to the Vestwell employer portal instead of Accrue 401k to manage your plan going forward.
- You cannot use your existing Accrue 401k login credentials on Vestwell; registration creates new credentials.
