Can I Submit Contributions During the Blackout?
Yes. Once you complete registration on the Vestwell platform, you can submit payroll contributions right away, even while the blackout period is still active.
Note: The blackout period restricts participant activities (investments, loans, distributions). It does not prevent you from submitting employer contributions once you’re registered.
If You Submit Contributions Manually
If your payroll provider is not connected, or if you submit contributions manually, any contributions withheld during the blackout period will need to be uploaded or entered manually on the Vestwell platform as an off-cycle contribution once your registration is complete.
If you don’t see a payroll slot for a contribution you need to submit, use the off-cycle contribution option.
When Will Contributions Stop Posting to Accrue?
Contributions will typically stop posting to Accrue one business day before your blackout period begins. After that, all contributions should be submitted through Vestwell.
