When do my employees and I find out about our blackout period and transition timing?

A few weeks before your assigned blackout period, you and your employees will each receive an email from Vestwell with your transition timing and specific blackout dates. The transition will take place over an approximate two-week period between March 4th and May 6th. Plans will be informed of the exact transition timing before or during the week of March 2nd.

When will my employees be able to register for their accounts?

After the blackout period and plan transfer are complete, employees will receive emails from Vestwell inviting them to create login credentials and access their Vestwell retirement accounts. This will occur at the end of your approximate two-week transition window. At the time of employee registration, normal account activity and transactions will have resumed.

How will my employees be notified about the transition?

Starting the week of February 2nd, Vestwell will begin sending welcome emails to employees a few weeks before each plan’s transition window. Following the welcome email, Vestwell will also send a communication to employees with key information, such as plan Blackout Period dates.
