Will my plan pricing change?

Your plan’s core fees are not changing. Your current base fee, participant fee, and asset-based fees will not change as part of this transition, and Vestwell will continue to honor discount and fee waiver terms currently in place with Accrue 401k.

What’s changing is how certain one‑time, optional, and occasional services are surfaced and billed to be more itemized and predictable. These are transaction-based fees for specific activities that require additional time and resources from Vestwell, such as loans and distributions. These services are not new, but the way they’re presented is. At Accrue 401k, many of these fees were included within hourly “special service” rates or custody and distribution fees. Now, these costs show up on a clear, published fee schedule so you can see exactly what you’re paying for and when. You’ll be able to access the full fee schedule within the plan setup flow, in transition communications, and from your employer portal.

Will my investment lineup change?

Your plan investment lineup and funds will not change during the transition. After moving to Vestwell, your employees will get access to additional, enhanced investment options, including goal-based investing, also known as the “managed account” feature.

Will my employees’ money stay invested during the transition?

Yes. Employee funds will remain invested in the investment selections they had on file with Accrue 401k throughout the transition, including during the blackout period, so savings stay in the market while assets and data are transferred securely.

Will my plan design change?

No. Your overall plan design and plan structure will remain the same. However, there are a few minor administrative and feature differences and enhancements you may notice in day‑to‑day operations, such as expanded withdrawal types, removal of certain distribution limits and minimums, and procedural updates to loan processes.
