What Happens if My Loan Account Number Changes or My Loan Is Transferred to Another Provider?

If your student loan servicer has changed platforms, you will need to add your new loan account details to your Gradifi profile in order for any further contributions to be applied to your loan. You can add your new loan account details and remove the outdated loan details from your member account in the Gradifi platform by following these steps.

How to Add New Loan Account Details

  1. Log in to the Gradifi platform using your email and password. 
  2. Click My Accounts at the top of the home page. 
  3. Select Add Account
  4. Type the name of your loan servicer into the “Student Loan Servicer Name” field. If your loan servicer’s name does not populate from the list of options, you can enter this information manually.
  5. Select the associated payment address for your loan servicer.
  6. Enter information relating to your loan. This includes the account number (be sure to add it to both requested fields) and the name on the loan.
  7. Depending on your loan servicer and/or employer program requirements, you may also be required to provide your loan type in the “Student Loan Type” field as well as upload a validation document.
  8. When you are finished adding your information, click Submit.

How to Remove Old Loan Account Details Once Your New Loan Has Been Approved

  1. Log in to the Gradifi platform using your email and password.
  2. Click My Accounts at the top of the home page. 
  3. Select the loan account you are looking to remove. 
  4. Select Account Options.
  5. Click Mark as Paid off.
