Solving Contribution Submission Errors

If your contribution submission fails, you will receive both an email and an in-portal error message that prompts you to take corrective action. To resolve any of the errors listed below, please follow the corresponding steps.

  1. Action Required: Payment Failed
  2. Action Required: Bank Account Verification Failed
  3. Action Required: Contribution On Hold

Action Required: Payment Failed

If you receive an error message that your payment failed, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Go to Bank Accounts button on your error message.
  2. If your payment failed because your account number is invalid, select Update to update your bank account information. If your payment failed due to lack of bank authorization, please add our ACH company ID to your bank's authorized list to allow transaction processing, then select Re-verify Account to confirm re-verification of your bank account. 
  3. Follow the steps to update, re-verify, or add a new account based on your selection.

Action Required: Bank Account Verification Failed

If you receive an error message that your bank account verification failed, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Go to Bank Accounts button on your error message.
  2. If your verification failed because your account number is invalid, select Update to update your bank account information. If your verification failed due to insufficient funds in your account, select Re-verify Account to confirm re-verification of your bank account.
  3. Follow the steps to update, re-verify, or add a new account based on your selection.

Action Required: Contribution On Hold

If you receive an error message that your contribution is on hold, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Go to Bank Accounts button on your error message.
  2. If your contribution is on hold because account number is invalid, select Update to update your bank account information. If your contribution is on hold due to stopped payments, select Re-verify Account to confirm re-verification of your bank account. 
  3. Follow the steps to update, re-verify, or add a new account based on your selection.
