Your retirement plan is moving to the Vestwell platform. While you’ll receive specific dates in advance, most transitions follow a two-week timeline. Here’s what you can expect along the way.
Week 1: Setup & Temporary Blackout Period
During the first week:
- Your employer completes plan setup on the Vestwell platform
- A blackout period begins
- Certain account activities may be temporarily unavailable
A blackout period is a short window of time when you may not be able to:
- Make changes to your investments
- Adjust contribution elections
- Request distributions or loans (if applicable)
This is a normal part of a plan transition and helps ensure your account information transfers accurately and securely.
Note: Your money remains invested during this time.
Week 2: Account Transfer & Go-Live
During the second week:
- Your plan’s assets and account data are securely transferred to Vestwell
- All account information is reconciled and loaded
- The blackout period ends
- You’ll receive an email invitation to register your Vestwell account
Once you receive your invitation, you can create your login and access your account.
Transition Complete
After access is restored:
- Your retirement plan is fully live on the Vestwell platform
- You can log in to view your balance and investments
- You can update contributions, investments, and beneficiaries
- Normal account activity resumes
You’ll also gain access to Vestwell’s tools and resources designed to help you stay on track toward your retirement goals.
Welcome to Vestwell! We’re excited to support you and your retirement journey moving forward.
