This article will walk through the Vestwell Mobile App. For more information on downloading the app, please see our article “Getting Started With the Vestwell Mobile App.”
Once you have downloaded and opened the Vestwell app, begin by clicking Sign In. Then, enter your login information and click Sign In.
A Note on Logging in With Biometric Authentication
If your device supports biometric authentication, you may have the option to enable it to log in to your account. The Vestwell app will request permission to use your device's biometrics, like fingerprint or face recognition.
To set up biometric authentication, follow these steps:
- Select Sign In with Biometrics.
- A new popup will appear that says “Enable Biometrics.” Click Continue to proceed.
- Sign in to your Vestwell account with your email address and password. Click Sign In and enter your two-factor authentication code.
- The final step is to enable biometric login. Click Enable Biometrics and verify your fingerprint or face.
Once you have logged in, you will be brought to your home page titled “Retirement Overview,” where you can get a quick snapshot of your account and savings progress.
At the top of the screen, you will notice a shield icon. By clicking on this icon, you can either sign out or navigate to the “Login & Security” page, where you can reset your password or modify your two-factor authentication settings.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see six icons. These icons serve as the primary navigation of the app.
Clicking on each icon will bring you to its respective page.

Home Icon - Clicking on this will bring you to your home page. This is also where you will first land when logging in.

Piggy Bank Icon - Clicking on this will bring you to the “Account Details” page.

Bar Graph Icon - Clicking on this will bring you to the “Investments” page.

Document Icon - Clicking on this will bring you to the “Documents” page.

Person Icon - Clicking on this will bring you to the “Profile” page.

Question Mark Icon - Clicking on this will bring you to the “Help Chat.”
Below, we will give a brief overview of each page.
Home Page
The home page will provide an overview of your account. From this page, you can see or edit:
- Your account balance and its growth over time
- An annual contribution tracker that indicates your year-to-date contributions compared to the IRS contribution limit
- Your savings rates
- Your investment strategy
- Your selected beneficiary
- An overview of the recent contributions made to your account
Account Details
The “Account Details” page will provide you with more information about your account. From this page, you can see:
- Your account balance
- The total amount of employee contributions you have made, including

- Pre-tax contribution total
- Roth contribution total
- Total amount of your balance that was rolled over
- Any loans you have taken out
- Your quarterly account statements
Investments
The “Investments” page will provide you with an overview of your account’s investments. From this page, you can see and manage:
- Your investment holdings
- Your account growth in the last month, 3 months, year to date, and 12 months
Documents
The “Documents” page will provide you with important documents that pertain to your account. From this page, you can see:
- Your recent quarterly statements, available to view via PDF
- Documents relating to your employer’s plan, such as the Summary Plan Description (SPD), Plan Adoption Agreement, and others
- Documents relating to your investments and their performance
Profile
The “Profile” page will give an overview of your personal details. From this page, you can see or edit:
- Your personal information
- Your employment information
- Your account information
Help Chat
The “Help Chat” page will populate our help center chatbot. From this page, you can:
- Ask the chatbot questions pertaining to your account or the platform
- Ask for directions on how to contact Vestwell support
