Vestwell Contributions Update
May 2022 - The Vestwell Employer Portal has undergone specific enhancements to further improve the Contribution submission process. Please review this article to learn more about our newly released features. The new features are being deployed on a rolling basis beginning May 5th. Not all plans will have this feature available to them but will do so by the end of Quarter 3, 2022. The article below is intended for plans who have not yet been rolled into the new Contribution Submission Process.
(Legacy) Submitting Contributions for a Regular Payroll
To start the process of submitting a contribution for a regular payroll cycle, Log onto your portal, click the "Contributions" tab to the left of your screen, then in the "Upcoming Contributions" area, select the appropriate date.
Click "Start Submission"
From here, you can upload a spreadsheet with your contributions by clicking the "Upload" button and selecting the appropriate file from your computer.

Once uploaded, the system will check to see if all required data was included in the file. If your file contained all of the required columns, you would see a checkmark on the screen. You can also expand the section to see all of the columns found on the uploaded file. You can now proceed by clicking "Send & Validate."
The system will now process and validate the submission. If the system identifies any issues, you will see a screen like the one below. To correct any validation issues, follow the on-screen prompts and click "Next."
Once you correct any validation issues you will reach the confirmation step of the process. On this page you will see the following:
- The total amount of the submission
- Breakdown by money source
- Breakdown by participant
Once you've reviewed the details of the submission, click "Complete Submission" to send the contribution for processing.
Once submitted you will see the following confirmation screen.
